Goodreads asked C. Wayne Dawson:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C. Wayne Dawson After I wrote "Vienna's Last Jihad," the next major historical event that followed was the siege of Buda. I researched the missing library of Matthias Corvinus in Buda and found that some believed they would find valuable texts in the royal palace there during the siege but failed. This sparked my imagination: what if the most valuable book Corvinus owned had been secretly hid in a location only a select few knew about? That initiated "The Darkness That Could Be Felt," Book One in "The Treasure of the Raven King" series.
