How do you deal with writer’s block?

Corey Lamb I usually start writing something new. As in completely, off the top of my head, new. If I've been stuck in a certain spot in a story for longer than I'm comfortable with, I usually rewrite the troublesome part, starting over from the last point in the story that I was happy with, and I usually end up taking the story in a completely different direction than I planned to. Sometimes, you just have to let the story tell itself.
