Really, though, the idea for the William Shakespeare's Star Wars series came about because, within the course of about three months, I watched the Star Wars trilogy with two good friends, read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and went to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival with my family. I, therefore, had Star Wars, Shakespeare and mashups on my brain. While my family and I were at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival I had the idea -- I thought Star Wars and Shakespeare would make a perfect mashup because the themes are so similar and the movie is roughly the length of a play.
