This is suitable for any person with a heart.
Dania
Yes, definitely! You can learn a lot of big words in this book as well. :)
Rozita Berry
I would recommend it for girls of any age.
Kelly
my daughter and I just finished reading it together, and we both absolutely loved it! I loved revisiting this book that I loved so much as a child.
Challice
Considering that the protagonist is 11 years old, I think its a perfect time to read. I would say that it is best read as a read-aloud but I am currently reading it as my own me-time book. The children loved it as a audible book.

I think so. It's also good for adults.
Norlottie
I read it at six so definitely
Stella
I would recommend this book for anyone (boys and girls) who is a good reader and can read big words. Or anyone who likes an engaging book!
Myst
I just let a friend's 9 year old try to read it...her vocabulary is nowhere near proficient enough. Sure some of the vocab is tricky, but we didn't even get through chapter 1...
Cordélia Leite
No, it isn't. Unless you want your kid to become some nasty bully obsessed with how others look. I am truly dumbfounded at how so many people think this book is suitable for kids just because the main character is a kid herself and is full of idyllic descriptions. This only shows how the avarage reader is naive, simple minded and lack critical thinking skills.
Ruby
Definitely!! It is amazing for nearly all ages. <3
Jennifer Sharum
i read these around the age of 11 or something... and loved them
Maali
Most certainly, it could be for any age - as long as they have some understanding of complicated vocab.
Mary
Yes, I first read it at seven of eight
Sabina
It‘s adorable, in every way. And yes, suitable for such an age. I’m going to buy it for my ten-year-old niece, and reading it myself right now. Absolutely enchanting.
Brenna Hale
I would suggest that you read it with her to help with big words an talk through Anne's intense emotions and the lessons she learns!
Eliza ✨
It's an older book, so the language might be a bit tricky, but in terms of mature content, this would be great for a 10-year-old.
Menuka Ishan
Yes, This is a good book. Even though I am not a child when I re-reading it, enjoyed it. It's fun and teaches us about good manners. So I would recommend it to a child
Onjel Bercier
I was exactly ten years old when I read it. Absolutely timeless, and I would still read it to this day.
Shoshana
I read it when I was 12, and found it very good. Anyone can read this if they have a good enough vocabulary.
Jazzy
10 would be a suitable age
Reagan
I read it when I was 7 , and I loved it. It is great for people with lots of imagination.
Shreya Ganguly
You can read this book at any age. However, I read it at the age of twelve. Keep in mind that the vocabulary level of this book is extremely high.
Bear Wiseman
Pretty sure I read this when I was 10 or under and I loved it. The main character is a young girl who's obsessed with literature, so why not give it a go?
Charlotte Siobhan
It's definitly difficult to understand for younger children, but don't read an abridged version to your little children! Those things are the worst! Just wait a few years!
Mikasa Chan
ofcourse its good
Jeffery Moulton
Our 7-year-old loved the audiobook version.
Stephen Hayes
I think it is a story most 10-year-old girls would enjoy. Boys, perhaps not so much, until they are older. When I was that age I was into Biggles.
Sabina
Absolutely! They talk about crushes, but nothing inappropriate. I would recommend this book for any age, child or adult.
Donna
yes it is! and if you have the chance, I would recommend reading aloud to her and then her to you - chapter by chapter!
Foxsay123
Of course this book is amazing for any ages! : )
Dan
My aunt read it to me when I was 10. It was a pretty good book.
S. R. Carroll
Absolutely! You may want to hold the later books back for a few years- perhaps stop her at Windy Poplars and then let her continue on with House of Dreams and the rest of the series at around 13 or so (unless you have a mature 10 year old, and in that case, let her plow right through!), but Green Gables and Avonlea are perfect for your daughter right now.
Danica
I think 10 is the perfect age for this book.
That is when I first read it:)
