asked:
It seems as if this must be tied in with 'Gentlemen and Players' as it pertains to the same main character and same school, yet there's no series link between the two books here on Goodreads... Should there be? Is this either a prequel or sequel to it, or neither? Thanks in advance for any info!

There's no series link because the books all stand alone. However, to put it into context, this book follows a year after GENTLEMEN AND PLAYERS, and four years before BLUEEYEDBOY, and features some characters from both.

I read Different Class, prior to Gentlemen and Players and the order you read them in does not matter, I enjoyed both. Straitley is the key character and there are one or 2 other characters in both but as the author says, these are stand-alone books. Latin teachers do seem to be a breed apart and I have fond memories of my old Latin teacher but not the subject!
