Her trilogies are ALWAYS better read in order, otherwise you'll miss stuff that you would have picked up on if youd read the previous or, and the story lines and backstories will make much better sense. Trust me, they are worth waiting for! Ive read every book Nora has written to date She writes so descriptively that the stories set in Ireland, for instance, close your eyes and you can imagine standing on those fragrant green hills. I can practically guarantee that you will love them :)

I personally would read them in order. You will not know the backstory of the characters. With Nora's trilogies, it's a bit like watching an episode of a TV show that is a continuing story w/o having watched last week's show yet. You can do it but you will be missing a bit of context and be wondering "how did they get together" or "why does she hate him" or "how come that happened"...

They really have to be read in order. I don't like this trilogy. This series is beyond fantasy or reality. I bought the first book; read the second through my library. I will read the third book, because I always finish a series. But, I won't waste my money on the last two books. Nora Roberts has done so much better than this!

I would definitely read "Stars of Fortune" first because Roberts does a fantastic job of introducing the characters and setting up the beginning strings of the plot for the trilogy. I don't know that I would classify these as fantasy so much as paranormal/supernatural - when I think fantasy I think of far off mystical lands and fairy tale creatures. There IS magic and some supernatural elements, it is set in modern day Greece. I love Roberts' PNR romance series, I definitely recommend you read this one! (The Circle and Sign of Seven Trilogies are my next two favorite, just in case you were looking for more)

You definitely want to read this trilogy in order because you could be lost as to why they are doing what they are doing or how they got where they are now. I have tried reading sequel books out of order and it tends to make me lost. You won't be sorry be reading them in order, I promise you! Nora Roberts books just have a way of drawing you in and wanting more! I will say if you read this one first, you are definitely going to want the first book of this series, that's how I got hooked on Nora Roberts books, by reading one book out of sequence and then I went back and read the first book of the series that I started with and when I was done the first, I went back and reread the second book just to put myself back in order and it helped me tie everything in with the second book. The first book in this series will definitely keep you wanting more, so you will not be disappointed by getting the first one before you read this one! I just hate the wait for the next one to come out, so I will always go back and reread the ones before right before my new one is set to arrive so I can re-aqquaint myself with the story and it's characters and it's like reading it for the first time :-)
