Hi Kirby! I'm so excited that you want to write Historical Fiction! My advice would be to try to interview people who either experienced the time period or historians who have spent years researching it. Sitting down to speak to someone can sometimes yield more dynamic results than just reading about a piece of history. Thanks for asking!

If you could only choose three, what would you choose as your favorite novels from other writers? I'm a slow reader but I'm always looking for good recommendations. I loved Between Shades of Gray and I really like that you try to incorporate some of the more obscure parts of history than a lot of other historical fiction. Thanks!
