Kristen Ashley I've never thought of changing a couple. Not ever. All my couples are just as they should be, 100%. If Gwen got with Tack, Hawk would not be saved from the life he'd been living. And what of Tyra? Who would color her world? The very idea gives me the heebie-jeebies! ACK! :-) :-)

And I don't put books out that, when I'm done, I don't feel that inner, deep, soulful SIGH. Although I miss my characters when they're gone (in other words, when a book is done) and I start to feel a longing kind of nostalgia before I even finish a book that I'll never get to have that story back again, I love the stories that my fingers tap into the keyboard.

That said, I've mentioned before that I really wish I'd written KALEIDOSCOPE from the Colorado Mountain series entirely in Deck's point of view. That was how it came to me and I really struggled to get into Emme's head because I think what was there was very private, demons she was struggling with that we (me the writer and the readers) needed to be in Deck's POV, locked out of that and trying to find ways in. But, very unusually, I went against my gut and told the story from both POVs. I still like it but I think it'd be more powerful the other way. Thus I'll never go against my gut again!
