Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Julia Brannan My most recently published book is number two in a series - the inspiration for the series came when I was tracing my family history and discovered my Gordon ancestors had come to Scotland from Ireland in the early 19th Century. As they were Roman Catholics and not wealthy, I wondered why they'd have gone to Ireland in the first place, and discovered that a number of rebels after the '45 did go to Ireland. That led me to research the '45, which led ultimately to the series...
