Would you ever put a link on your website letting fans vote on their favorite characters?

Shannon Messenger Probably not, because I would never want a fan to feel like the character they love is "unpopular." I created such a huge cast for the books because I wanted readers to have a ton of options to choose from when it came to finding their favorite--and just because some are the more obvious "popular" choice doesn't mean it's wrong for other readers to feel more attached to someone else. Plus, I love all my characters equally, so the idea of putting them through that kind of popularity contest hurts my heart a little. They ALL deserve ALL the votes (well, okay, maybe not the villains)
