Michael Bully
Michael Bully asked Pirate Irwin:

With reference to 'The Twisted Patriot' I noticed that John Amery appears as a minor character. He is portrayed as a traitor with quite alarming sadistic tendencies. Did you include Amery as an example of a notorious traitor , or as an example of someone with psychopathic traits being allowed to indulge themselves without any sanction due to the amoral climate of the Third Reich ? Regards

Pirate Irwin Hi Michael! Thank you for the question. Actually with Amery it was both really, whether he was quite that psychopathic one wonders .....but certainly the teddy bear accompanied him almost everywhere. Not exactly Christopher Robin and Winnie....quite the opposite though I speak obviously for the man not the poor bear!! It was also to show that it wasn't unrealistic to find Sebastian where he is by highlighting a historical character with a similar privileged upbringing, even more so in Amery's case as his father was a minister... hope that is a satisfactory answer! All the best Pirate
