I'm gonna explain myself: I know that your family story motivated you to write Between Shades of Gray and I want to know wich conection you felt with the 50's New Orleans city and why you thougt it could be a story?

Thanks for your kind words about my writing! "Out of the Easy" has parallels to my mother's personal history. I wanted to explore feminism in historical context through a girl in postwar America, a girl who dreamed of being the author of her own destiny.
