Writing with a beard is a god send. I get to constantly stroke my beard whenever I need to stop and ponder where my new chapter will go or what my MC should eat next. I feel bad for women writers who can't write with the advantage of having a beard.
As for flannel shirts, flannel shirts are for partying, not for working.
