I would love to visit Colombia! I've heard your country is absolutely beautiful and I'm very anxious to visit. To answer your question -

Much of the world is not aware that Stalin deported so many people to Siberia. I wanted to write a book to create an awareness and also give voice to the people who never had a chance to tell their story. That's what inspired "Between Shades of Gray."

I saw in one of your interviews that you travel a lot to get your information first hand for your books. What is the most beautiful/inspiring place that you have been? Has it made it into your novels?

I love historical fiction and you have a wonderful way of enlightening readers about lesser known events during the WWII/Holocaust time period.
