Hi Ruta, I really enjoyed 'Out of the Easy' and am looking forward to reading 'Salt to the Sea'. I was just wondering what your favourite/ least favourite part of being an author is? And did you always want to be a writer or was it something that developed later in life? Best wishes, Ella

I'm so happy that you enjoyed "Out of the Easy!" To answer your question:
My favorite part of being an author is meeting readers.
My least favorite part of being an author is having to spend so much time in airports. I take over 150 flights per year! :(
I knew in third grade that I wanted to be a writer but it took me decades to find the courage. So it was a career path that I pursued later in life.
