This actually is set in the world of Mark Vincent and Quinton Mann.
We first met Deuce in Best Laid Plans, which is also on the outskirts of the Mann universe. Mark and Quinn are mentioned separately but aren't in on the action.
In His Line of Work takes place a year later, (2003) and again Mark doesn't put in an appearance, although he is mentioned.
As it turns out, Mark's going to be too busy to go after Deuce at this point. As for the future... we'll just have to see. ;-)
Although I would like to revisit Deuce and Trip.
(This is all leading up to Book 4 of Mann of My Dreams--don't panic, that's still on the horizon. Hopefully all loose ends will be tied up in that book.

Hi, I enjoyed Mark and Quinn's entire story and I am very grateful to you for writing it not to mention in awe of your talent. I skimmed the questions and did not see this one but if it has been asked before I am sorry. I was wondering, Is the series ever going to come on to Audiobooks? I would love to see that happen but I assume that requires a lot of things I cannot even begin to imagine, thus the question :) ?
