I was wondering how similar is the Jerusalem described in Tikkun to the actual Jerusalem? Is that really how the people there think? (I know it is a lot of generalisation, but still.)
I loved the story. I never thought I'd connect, but I did. It's so familiar, so similar to how things happen here. Jerusalem sounds like Karachi's twin, albeit better or comparatively more fortunate. (hide spoiler)]
Hi Owaiz. Thank you for your kind words and I'm sorry it took me so long to see your question! I'd like to think that it's an authentic depiction of Jerusalem, but of course every author's take on a place is different. People who know the city well seem to find it accurate. I love that you find it familiar! I can relate. I've felt that way before about unlikely places.
