I'm so glad you love the Deanna Madden series! It is one of my favorites. I am hoping to explore more of Derek in future Deanna Madden novels. I will share that he is in his late 30s, and I think he is fascinated by Deanna, and struggles against wanting to know more about her, and trying to maintain a professional distance.
