Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Todd R. Baker Well, like so many, I’ve had my struggles in life, and I started thinking about how common it is for millions of Americans in the business world to have careers that don’t work out like they expected. At the same time, I wanted to explore the narcissism and brutality of a powerful billionaire in America—to try him on for my ideal readers, who might just wish for another, better life of fame and riches. But with that new life, what might each of us lose instead, what kind of person might we actually become.
