I have it rated at a 960. For the Fountas and Pinnell, it would be a Z or Z+. They would be at around a 7th-grade reader's level. Many of my 7th-grade students may have a difficult time understanding the complexity of the novel, due to a lack of background knowledge in some of the "historical accounts."(less)
