Are any of the illustrations in this so graphic that it would be awkward if my parents saw over my shoulder? I hear its quite sexual at times...

Would you watch Game of Thrones in front of your parents?
Reid
Depends on your parents. Pretty sexual at times, but nothing so outrageous as to define it as gratuitous. Some of the characters have visible genitals, and some engage in sex, but it's nothing I wouldn't have wanted my son to read after the age of, say, 14 or so.

There's a topless spider woman/alien, a sex planet, and pictures of our main characters having sex. It's a great novel, but if you don't want to get caught reading anything awkward due to nudity or sexual scenes, then I'd probably pick something different to read, or just read it when you know no one else is around.
Lisa Reynolds
Yes. Several nude images and sex scenes (some more graphic) throughout the series. Most of the content is ok, but it just takes one of those awkward moments of your parents catching a glimpse.
Troy
Definitely yes. Also in other volumes.

I would say ~13 should be the minimal appropriate age for reading this graphic novel. Older would be recommended due to adult themes and ideas.
