Goodreads asked Emma Graham:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Emma Graham It started when my friend's friend told us we were from this other world that we only went to when we were asleep. Sometimes we could remember it and sometimes we couldn't. I could control wind, and me, my best friend, and her friend were all siblings. It was pretty cool there for a while to be apart of this so called world and to think I could control a piece of weather.

So when I was in about sixth grade I started writing about it, and it has evolved so much since then. When I first started it Tessa (although she wasn't called that at the time) would only go to this other world in her dreams, and her parents weren't dead. Now it's where it's at and I've expanded this world so much, and I love writing about this place and the people and I love looking into Tessa's world and seeing how she handles these situations that are thrown her way. I've grown up with Tessa in a way, I've been writing about her for six years now, she and I have been through a lot.
