How do you deal with writer’s block?

Suzanne Feldman I don't really believe in writer's block. Larry Rivers, the great painter, once said (I'm probably paraphrasing), "Start. Start anywhere. Make it as big as a postage stamp, but just start." So that's pretty much how I treat a blank page. I just write a sentence. It can be a bad sentence or a good one, but at least I've got it on the page. I shoot for a thousand words a day and that can be pretty daunting at times, so there are times when I just try to finish the page.
