Firstly, he sees that the river is red and thinks that people are hunting rabbits when it's really human blood.

He also is confused when his parents are not home. He thinks they've gone to America when they've actually gone to a concentration camp.

I haven't read the book in a while but there are many other scenes where Felix's innocence is shown
