For a YA book, this novel and the entire series is very clean. There is the occasional spot of flirting, a kiss here or there , some violence and death, and sometimes a few cuss words such as 'd---' or 'h---'. There is an incurable and fatal plague in this book that sweeps across the world. The only part that would sway the clean part is where Cinder is at a medical clinic and the doctor is asking her a few medical questions, one of which she sarcastically replies that 'she had a sex change' along with her other cyborg updates. The doctor looks at her shocked and disturbed before she flatly states that she was joking. I would say that this book should be about 12 or 13 on up through 17 or 18. Honestly, even for adults, this book was so well written! I think anyone would enjoy a book series such as this one.

Probably 12+, but it's different for everyone. Lindsey gave a pretty in-depth review, but here's another specific review:
