What inspired the writing method in "The Memoirs of Lady Trent"? I absolutely love the books. They combine my love of natural history with my love of dragons in one of the best combinations I have yet read.

If you mean the memoir style . . . it just sort of happened. :-) I started typing, and it came out in first person, and then it started to have the kind of commentary that made it sound like it was being written after the fact for some kind of audience, and then I thought, "hey, a memoir would be very appropriate to the period." It turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made all series. Not only is it massively fun to write, but the retrospective frame lets me play alllllllll kinds of different games with the narration.

I love dragons and the way you wrote the Memoirs of Lady Trent. Thank you so much. I'm reading the forth book right now and wanted to know how was your inspiration for wrinting these books? I'm also a veterinarian especializing in large animal medicine and if dragons existed I would be the one trying to reach to them. So these books speak to me in so many levels I can't begin to describe, Thank you so much!
