I wanted to see the movie The Revenant after reading your book since both had stories about early American explorers/mountain men. Did it surprise you this movie came out the around the same time as your book and did you enjoy seeing this film after writing about a similar character? I did! Great book, by the way.

Thank you, Danosue--I appreciate it. And yes, it was a pleasant surprise to see "The Revenant" focusing on Hugh Glass. I am glad I chose Colter instead as I wouldn't have wanted to be predictive of the movie.

Hello Mr. Boyle, I am enjoying your short stories in Wild Child lately. A friend lent me Drop Zone awhile ago because he thought since I am from Alaska I would enjoy it. (I think it probably spoke more to him being of hippy parents and growing up in CA).
