Thank you, Kathryn. I love audiobooks and I love performing stories in public too. But no, I do not change or want to change the text--once it's set down and published, it is appearing in the form I wanted it to. No regrets.

No query - just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks for your commentary @spiegel.de. Since I was a kid I yearned for the U.S. and eventually had the unforgettable pleasure to study there. I was thrilled, excited. Since then, though, this former love affair has turned sour. But it's people like you - and many others I still know - who give me confidence that there is always hope and that we never should give up. Thx?
