I just finished "You" and "Hidden Bodies" back to back in a matter of two days. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I think there is a little psychopath in us all and what a rollercoaster those books are. I loved your characters and the book had such a fantastic rhythm. I am already having a major Joe withdrawal so what are your favorite books? What should we read while we wait for your next book to come out? Thanks
Caroline Kepnes
Thank you so much, Abby! That rhythm you speak of, that is so important to me! It's one of my favorite things about writing, when you get in that flow and feel like it's bubbling along, both in terms of the narrative and the flow of the words. So that means so much to me to hear you say that! I love to read Bret Easton Ellis, Paula Fox (you'll see a theme here, the authors mentioned in both books are major favorites of mine), Joyce Carol Oates, Judy Blume, Chad Kultgen, Lucinda Rosenfeld. B.J.' Novak's collection One More Thing is soooo full of imagination and mental adventure. Phillip roth's Paternity is a book I read recently that will be with me forever. It's a prime example of that rollercoaster you mention, the rhythm. You are laughing and crying. That combination will never get old. Also a new book out recently, a short story collection by a guy I grew up with, Patrick Dacey, We've Already Gone this Far, ooh yes. Get that! Also I made this list of books to read here: http://www.brit.co/caroline-kepnes-tw...

Hello, Caroline! I`m on my way through "HIDDEN BODIES" and this is something amazing! Now I understand the meaning of the former title "LOVE" and really thrilled to read on. I crave for your next books and wish you more fascination and aspiration in your work. You are very gifted writer and lovely woman. What books do you advise to pass the time before your next novel? Thanks!
