Werner, How has C. S. Lewis influenced your writing? I include him on my list of influences too.

Werner A. Lind Chandler, good question (and I'm always glad to hear from another writer who also likes Lewis!). Lewis and I, of course, are both Christian writers; and I particularly appreciated the way he used the conventions of the fantasy genre in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to create a symbolic presentation of the Christian gospel, using a storyline that has some allegorical features without actually being full-blown allegory. In my own way, that's what I tried to do in my novel Lifeblood, but using the conventions of vampire fiction.
