More commonly you become separate from your body, compartmentalise, and your self-belief and even your view of reality is eroded. This sort of damage takes years to heal. Sadly it is hard not to become nonempathic or judgemental of others pain. Keeping a flame of anger alive is essential as this can be the fuel that allows you to break free.(less)
