It also makes me think about a line in the book "there's freedom to, and freedom from" Although we have the freedom to do things, some might prefer freedom from certain things. I cannot support it, but somewhere, in the back of my mind, I understand where this preference comes from. And Gilead being the way to achieve freedom from terrifies me. (less)
