Would you ever consider going to local bookstores (within a reasonable distance of your area) e.g., B&N for book signings? More specifically, my immediate area in NC. :) I've been to a couple of these events where local authors get together for a mini panel of Q&A in addition to the signings. Good times were had by all.

Sandra, hey there! Hope you're having a good Monday. Certainly if an event like that was ever organized in the NC area, I would consider going. Especially if it had an event format like that, versus a straight forward signing. A lot of authors are getting away from the store signings because often they're not well-attended. Whereas what you describe sounds far more fun, like something the store manager organized in league with local authors to make it an event where they could guarantee some attendance/participation (rather than authors sitting at tables, twiddling their thumbs and waiting for someone to ask them where the bathroom is (grin)).
I'll keep my ear out for anything being organized by the local authors going forward. Also, if you don't mind, could you tell me where you attended these events and a few names of the authors there? I could track activity through that info as well. Thanks for asking!

Hi Joey, I finished reading the KBR series and absolutely loved it. Willing Sacrifice was my fav, but also was touched by Rachel and Jon's love story. I'm now reading Divine Solace and am very intrigued by Domme Lyda. Is there another story with any more background on her past? I look forward to reading Marguerite and Tyler's stories. I hope to see you at another reader/author con and discuss your stories more.
