Goodreads asked Michael Michel:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Michael Michel Sometimes, it takes a minute to get into writing, sure, but a slow down in writing is more an indication of something off than some "entity" of its own. Honestly, I don't think it's helpful to believe writer's block exists. It's the equivalent of monsters under the bed for children.

I tend to flow with the energy. When the energy isn't flowing, it usually means I need to cut a section or totally rewrite it. So, you could say writer's block is actually just being unwilling to put in more work or backtrack. It's a bummer but a necessary one.
