Andrew Chapman
A strange book called The Conversationalist. It's an experiment in comedy writing. It is dark. The main character, a school child (written from his point of view) does terrible things but will hopefully retain sympathy. There is tragedy, and somewhere, lurking in the prose of this disturbed child, is humour.
