What’s the best thing about being a writer?

M.L. Spencer The thrill that comes from the act of writing itself. It's an adrenaline rush for me. When I'm highly invested in a group of characters, I am pulled into their lives and sucked into their stories. They become my friends, my family. I have a very hard time killing off characters I've become attached to -- I actually feel like I've lost someone close to me.
