I'm not sure if this is the best way to ask this, but your website says that you don't really have time to reply to letters, so here we go: I fell in love with Wintergirls the first time I read it. I want to become a translator and I have started translating it into French, just for fun, keeping it to myself. But I am wondering, would you be interested in publishing your book in French? You'd have to contact a French publisher and get them to make a contract with my agent, Amy Berkower at Writer's House. The agents handle all of the details for overseas publications.

I really look up to you not only as a writing but as a person. I was wondering if you have any tips for my situation? Well, the town I live in, and have lived in for over 10 years, there has been a series of deaths; we've had over 30 since December. I'm still only 15 but, I really want to make a difference in my town. Not only for me, but for my younger sibling and students that feel as if they don't have a voice.

A friend's daughter appeared in a stage version of your book Fever 1793 several years ago. My husband is a drama teacher. I help him out looking for plays for him and his classes to read, use for monologue, ensemble scenes or to produce the whole play. Do you know if that play script version is with a publisher like Samuel French or if you just gave rights for their own in house production where it wasn't published?
