I always wanted to thank you, Richard, for having written “One” and “Illusions”. Those were books that saved my life in an ominous past. I was lost in a stream of nonsense, and those books kept me afloat. What's your vision about those two books now that have passes so many years since you wrote them?

Books are magnets. They bring readers who may never have been born when they were written. There's something about their magnetism that makes sense for people (like me) who are tired of the ominous, and who wish at last for some reason in our lives. Other readers may think the magnetism is crazy, but it works for us. That's what books are for.

Dear Mr. Bach, my sister introduced me to Jonathan Livingston Seagull when we were teenagers struggling to survive. I signed into Goodreads tonight after a long absence and saw the review of it she wrote nearly 8 years ago, and I broke into tears. I so remember the earnest, kind, and fragile teen she was. You suprised me by joining GR (frankly-You surprised me purely by being (still) alive in this age of computerisation) -is here any story behind? How do You feel about those 'virtual' worlds? Many older(and much wiser)people in my life think that those relationships&communities aren't real-or not fulfilling at best. IMHO it's just another step(tool)in fusing ppl together (offering permeability&freedom of movement).
