Lindsey It’s an adult book - the content isn’t graphic & it’s quite simply written so it’s not that it wouldn’t suit younger but I don’t think a child would f…moreIt’s an adult book - the content isn’t graphic & it’s quite simply written so it’s not that it wouldn’t suit younger but I don’t think a child would find it particularly interesting or charming? The main thing to love about it is that it’s a kind of ‘wind in the willows gone wrong’ and I think the nostalgia of having read that as a child (and known it forever), and in part ‘comparing’ it to that, is why this book works & is so endearing.
