Hi! Can't wait for Lodestar! Anyway, I have two questions. One, how do you further the plot and have plot twists? I like to write, but I think my stories kind of just fall flat. Two, I know you answered this sort of, but would there be a human in the elfin world or a team up between one and the gang? And do humans have powers of their own, like before they were exiled? And would it possible to get one of your own? Thx

Ha--I feel like this is actually more than two questions. But here goes:
-There are a LOT of things writers need to learn about story structure and plotting, and I really can't go into them all here. I'd recommend reading a book on plotting (yes, it takes a whole book to explain it. Plotting is HARD!). It's also important to remember that something needs to change in every scene. It can't just be there because it's fun or it has the characters doing something you like. It needs to relate to the overall story and *advance* the plot in some way.
- I sadly can't say whether I ever would or wouldn't bring a human into the elvin world because either answer feels like it would somehow be a spoiler.
- Humans are...humans. I didn't create them for the series. It's the world we live in and know. And sadly--as far as I know--humans don't have any special powers. And I don't think that's going to be changing (and if it does, it won't be because of anything I do) Alas, alack.
