Hello, Ms. Forsyth! I've enjoyed Bitter Greens and The Wild Girl very much, especially since you are blending fairytales with history. It's thanks to your novels that I have become interested in the genre of historical fiction. If you don't mind my asking, what other fairytales would you like to retell?

Hi Bronwyn, I'm so glad that you've enjoyed BITTER GREENS & THE WILD GIRL. I am currently working on a new book that draws on the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale - its about the Pre-Raphaelite circle of artists and poets and in particular about the creation of a famous series of paintings of 'The Legend of Briar Rose' by Edward Burne-Jones. Its a big & complex book, but very fascinating. Then I'm thinking of playing with 'The Nightingale & the Rose', a Chinese fairy tale ... but we'll see.

Hello! I just finished The Wild Girl and just have to say how amazing it was. It was raw and dark, yet beautiful. After reading this and your final notes, I was wondering how long it took for you to develop and write this story. This book holds so many deep layers, which I assume was extremely difficult. How did you do it? Thank you for creating such lovely books. I hope to read much more from you. :)
