Johanna
Johanna asked Josh Lanyon:

You have a respectably long backlist. If a person hasn't read Josh Lanyon yet, which books would you recommend to start with?

Josh Lanyon I always find this difficult to answer!

While all my Josh Lanyon work is categorized as Male/Male romance, within that category I write mystery (mostly mystery), spec fiction, historical, and plain old contemporary romance.

So if a reader is interested in plain old romance, that would be the short stories or the holiday stories and of those, I rec Perfect Day (short story) and maybe The Dickens with Love (novella)

Historical...Snowball in Hell.

Spec Fiction...Strange Fortune (although that Irregulars anthology is so good, really I would start there -- it's got Ginn Hale, Nicole Kimberling, Astrid Amara!)

And as far as mystery, welllllll...most readers will probably rec the Adrien English series, but I think a good place to start might be Fair Game. Or if readers like funny and sexy and cozy...The Holmes and Moriarity series?

But I always love hearing what book brought readers to me, so maybe I *should* just leave this one for readers to answer. ;-D
