Inspiration can come anytime from anywhere. For example watching the intro to the series The Crown of the crown coming into form and then talking to my wife about something she read about a woman's experience and finding out how her role is past lives has led to her current situation - gave me a rough idea for a two pronged story which merge into one. Ideas just come. If they don't go away then I write them down. If they are inspiring enough then I write the outline and that becomes my next book.
