Quick question - and its coming from a religious Jewish point of view. Towards the end of the story Hester is happy that at 120 years he can slip and break his neck and it will be his own fault. Why 120 years? According to the Jewish religion man (and woman for that matter ) can only live for 20 years, That's because 120 is how long Moses lived. And *no one* can live longer that Moses. Is that the reference?

It might just be a reference to the Jews in Hollywood stereotype, but for a book largely lacking personal description or identifiers, I felt like Jewish things kept popping up. In Coda 3 Samantha goes on a date with a guy who got married under a chuppah, Weinstein is traditionally a very Jewish name, and I swear some character mentioned his bar mitzvah, though I can't remember where. Anyway, point is I wouldn't be surprised if the 120 was intentional.(less)
