I just saw the movie, and was left with a lot of questions. From the reviews of the book, I see that it is considerably different than the movie. There is one central question I have; it is about the fire that destroyed Serena's childhood home and killed her family. It is mentioned once or twice in the movie, and am wondering whether it is explored more in the book?

It is explored a bit more in the book but you will have to make your own judgement in the end about whether or not she is telling the truth about why she set the house on fire. I'm wondering if her mother and father were actually in the home at the time but we never are told if she found them to be her enemies as well as everyone else whose will doesn't match hers.
