So I've just finished The Lightning Struck Heart on Audible and I just need to ask: 1) granted, these are wizards and unicorns and such, but are any of these characters based on anyone you actually know; or a reflection of deep seated psychosis on your part? And 2) When you sat down to write the wedding scene, did you, like myself, nearly hyperventilate with laughter whenever Randall would open his mouth?

Gary is! I am friends with a drag queen named Bunny FuFu, and she played a large part in crafting Gary. She is just the bitchiest thing, but she's so fierce that I can't even stand it.
And, yeah, Randall really did crack me up there toward the end. I wanted him to be this fearsome figure, but as the reader go to know him better, to see that he was an asshole like the rest of them. I adore him, and he plays a bigger role in the sequel, which I'm currently writing. Thank you!

Thanks for the recommendation TJ -I’ve read just about everything else you’ve written and loved them so I’ll read these next. ps I just finished Ravensong and Into the river I drown. This was harder to read for me than the others due to the flash backs but it was still unpredictable-which I loved. When do you think brother song will be released?
