Hi, this is Tejashri and I wanted to ask you how you thought of writing Jonathan Livingston Seagull? And did you know that the book would be a great success before you published?

After so many rejections, all I wanted was for somebody to publish Jonathan. I loved the story, and hoped a few readers would love it, too. Great success was not in my power, but in the choice of the many readers I never knew existed.

I always wanted to thank you, Richard, for having written “One” and “Illusions”. Those were books that saved my life in an ominous past. I was lost in a stream of nonsense, and those books kept me afloat. What's your vision about those two books now that have passes so many years since you wrote them?
