I read it to my 4y.o. and my 6y.o. I had to explain a few words, but they could 100% follow the plot
Promise Promise
I read this book to my children at bedtime when they were in elementary school. Though they were excited and did not want me to stop reading, years later they told me the book gave them nightmares. Know your child. Though it is a simple book to read and follow, I now recommend it for high school age students.
