Amanda Yes and no. Yes, this book is canon; it's the script for a play that JK Rowling approved, BUT JK Rowling did NOT write this. It is based on her characters and a "story" of hers, but other authors wrote the script.

runedbooks Apparently, yes it is!!!!!! This article (http://www.hypable.com/harry-potter-a...) says that publishers are already vying over the rights to publish it, and that the book will contain the exact contents of the script, but in printed form!!! Well, it's not *another* Harry Potter novel like the first seven ones were, but at this point I'm pretty sure we're all so desperate that JK Rowling could write a book about Harry shitting and we'd all read the HELL OUT OF THAT.

Jack Thorne and not a book by J.K. Rowling, in fact i think the only thing
J.K. Rowling, had to do with it was create the original potter characters i will probably still read it but i don't expect it to be as good as the books by

vanilla frosting yes, it is real! its a play in a book, with labeled scenes (e.g.: scene one, part three) and its based on a book that jk rowling made. its not her og book- its john tiffany's, but its not his play either. jack thorne made the play, so theyre basically collaborating with each other, ig?? its basically one of the seven books but not at the same time. its mainly not bcuz jk rowling made the rest but as u can see john tiffany made it so yeahh

actually now that i think abt this,, it really isnt a hp book. its labeled harry potter but its actually not-- jk rowling probs made another hp book or book like this and then john tiff made a book play bout it. so its real but not jk rowlings so dont get fooled by that! byee

Cian Dunlevy I've already read the book however its more of a play script than an actual book. maybe thats because i got the special rehearsal edition. story's not bad though. i bet it would be great in a theatre though
