David asked this question about The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1):
How is the prose in Rothfuss' writing? Is there poetry and lyricism in the words? Is it purely narrative like George RR Martin? I see a ton of people love this book and it looks tempting to read, but I usually can't get into writing that is simply narrative and lacks any sense of poetry or does not have a distinctive writing style. Might as well just be watching a movie. How's the writing style in this book?
Romy It's beautiful prose and at times poetic. Read the first few pages on amazon; I'm sure you'll agree. (I had the same problem with Martin's books.) …moreIt's beautiful prose and at times poetic.
